Loads of Snow at Roger’s Pass

Next time you think about complaining about the snow where you live, I hope you’ll remember this image.  Remember, perspective is everything, right?  My goodness, I can’t even imagine shoveling out from under this much snow!

Lots of snow on the roof of this building at Roger’s Pass. Roger’s Pass in the Selkirk Mountains of BC is famous for the quantities of snowfall. This building is closed in winter for obvious reasons. This window is on the second floor showing here that the ground floor is completely buried.

Deep, deep snow

I have just one question…How do they plow this much snow? They can’t push it to the side. What do they do with it? Wow!

Good Weather

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.
- John Ruskin

[Janet's Note: People who were affected by Superstorm Sandy, please do not take offense; I was one of you. This quotation refers to ordinary weather, like today's rainy day, NOT hurricanes and the like.]
