If you can’t get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you’d best take it out and teach it to dance.
~ Bernard Shaw
Incredibly annoying music but a phenomenal dance routine performed by an obviously up-and-coming dancer who is currently only 8 years old. Wow!
So, I took your advice and danced like no one was watching. My court date is later this month.
Very pretty visuals mixed with the dancing…beautiful!

Another up-and-coming dancer. It doesn’t seem as though an 11-year-old should be capable of this type of athleticism or emotional expression. Wonderfully done!

Janet’s Note: I boo-hoo’d my way through this one. Another totally inspirational video clip for you. Please read the excerpt from the video before you watch.
Excerpt: “This is a very personal subject for me. I have lost friends to suicide and it hurts me so much that they felt like that was the only option. It is never the option. I wanted to get my message out the best way i knew how, thru dance. When i decided i wanted to do an It Gets Better piece, i presented the idea to my senior line and told them that if they wanted to be in it to come and talk to me. Each of the 7 girls in this dance came up to me and told me they wanted to be in it. First rehearsal we went around the circle and each of us told the group why they wanted to be in this piece and it was very emotional. We were all crying and opening up about things that had been going on in our lives, whether we are being bullied, have had thoughts of suicide, or attempted. Hearing their stories made the dance that much more important to me. Each time they have performed this dance at competition i was crying my eyes out in the front row..to see them have so much commitment and passion was so touching. By the end of the dance they were all crying on stage..they gave this dance everything they have and i am so proud of them. If you have thoughts of suicide and need someone to talk to, feel free to message me..I will be here for you. No matter what is going on in your life, i want you to know that you are special, unique, beautiful, and worth so much. It will get better, i promise.”
Beautiful lines, expressive movement…nicely done!
